  • The Emys Foundation

The Emys Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of nature, especially wetlands and the pond turtle (Emys orbicularis), through different tools: research, management, conservation, education and awareness.

The entity works to help local actors to make a sustainable management of the territory through its custody, promoting agroecology, sustainable forest management, environmental education and ecotourism.

  • What we do?

The Emys Foundation works for the study, protection and dissemination of the natural and cultural heritage linked to the natural environment. It does so through the custody of territory especially forest, agricultural and wetland areas.

We encourage long-term conservation of biodiversity so that landowners, managers, experts and users of the territory take an active part in its sustainable management.

To fulfill its aims, the Emys Foundation promotes environmental volunteer networks and promotes, in particular, the conservation of the natural heritage among young people and groups at risk of social exclusion.
