Lake Information Point (LIP)

GOALS:

1. To raise awareness of the importance of the Sils Lakes through the Information Point.
2. Encourage respect and relationship with the natural environment.
3. Disseminate and promote the Information Point as a reference space within the municipality.

BUDGET: € 14,399.09, of which € 3,599.77 are own founs. The budget will be reduced because it was for more than one month of the actual execution.

SUMMARY:

The information point of the Estanys de Sils Natural Area (PIE) is a reference point for information about the Estanys de Sils and its area. Located inside the Sils train station and a few meters from the start of the route, the point allows the visitor to know both the history of the lakes and the fauna and flora that exist and their importance in the ecosystem. In addition, through a small model of the Lake of Sils we can get an idea of ​​the dimensions and the territory it occupies.

Since 2021, the Emys Foundation has been managing and disseminating it, with the addition of an informant to the visitor’s attention to inform them within the established hours of everything they want to know about the lakes.

Opening hours are from Thursday to Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm in high season (March, April, May, September, October and November) and from Friday to Sunday in low season (January, February, June, July, August, December)
